Quanlian Opens India Office, Pioneering Smart Supply Chain’s First Mile

Quanlian recently inaugurated its office in Mumbai, India, marking a new milestone in the company's global supply chain expansion. This office will focus on upstream procurement channels, quality control, seedling & feed suppliers, farming & harvesting, and processing updates in India and neighboring markets, offering vital intelligence and resource support for international trade, processing, warehousing, logistics, and sales at headquarters.

Why India?
India holds around 15% of China’s imported shrimp market—mainly headless shrimp—and farmed shrimp production hovered near 810,000 tonnes in 2024, among the world's top producers (China Aquatic Products Processing & Marketing Association, June 4, 2025). With its scale and cost advantages, Quanlian’s direct access to source markets enables real-time pricing and quality monitoring, strengthening its global procurement network and addressing upstream supply gaps.

The India office will be embedded within major farming regions, tapping seedling farms and feed suppliers to establish a robust intelligence network; it will implement third-party testing for quality and safety; and use both online/offline monitoring to continuously track farming environments, harvest seasons, and processing updates, producing regular market intelligence reports.

The office will also seamlessly integrate with the HQ’s big data and supply-chain finance systems to facilitate cross-border coordination of information, capital, logistics, and services.
