Strengthening Strategic Cooperation and Facilitating Market Access – President of the Brazilian Shrimp Farmers Association Visits Quanlian Cold Chain Logistics Park
On July 8, 2025, Mr. Itamar Rocha, President of the Brazilian Shrimp Farmers Association (ABCC), led a delegation to visit Quanlian for an in-depth exchange. The visit aimed to deepen bilateral cooperation, promote the entry of Brazilian vannamei shrimp into the Chinese market, and explore the industry's development trends together with Quanlian.
Accompanied by Quanlian CEO Mr. Liu Min, the delegation toured the company’s modern cold chain logistics park, which integrates an international aquatic products trading center, R&D center, and smart warehousing facilities, as well as the shrimp processing factory. Mr. Rocha gained a detailed understanding of Quanlian’s strengths in global seafood supply chains, cold chain logistics, and digital intelligence services. He spoke highly of Quanlian’s infrastructure and management, especially its role in ensuring freshness and quality of shrimp products.
The two parties held in-depth discussions on strategic cooperation. Mr. Rocha noted that Quanlian’s technical advantages in cold chain logistics could help boost the competitiveness of Brazilian shrimp in the Chinese market. He emphasized that ABCC attaches great importance to cooperation with Quanlian and looks forward to deeper collaboration in supply chain financing, cold storage logistics, processing, and market promotion — all aimed at delivering high-quality and sustainable seafood to Chinese consumers.
Mr. Rocha also expressed optimism about the market potential for Brazilian shrimp in China. While Brazil’s current annual production of 210,000–220,000 tons still trails exporters like Ecuador, its small-size shrimp offer a differentiated product well-suited to specific market demands in China.
This visit highlights Brazil’s strong interest in the Chinese seafood market and opens new possibilities for China-Brazil aquatic trade. As cooperation deepens and consumer demand continues to evolve, Brazilian vannamei shrimp are poised to become a key complement in the Chinese market. Quanlian will continue leveraging its role as a global digital seafood service platform, integrating premium international resources to empower high-quality development in China's aquatic industry.
